WG4 accepts N1977 as additional editing instructions for Topic Navigation Maps, CD 13250. WG4 requests that the editors of CD 13250 incorporate the instructions into WG4 N1984 and return the text for electronic discussion on the official WG4 list. WG4 expects that on completion of electronic discussion, it will authorize the editors to send the text to JTC1 for Final CD ballot.
WG4 accepts N1978 as additional editing instructions for ISO HTML, CD 15445. WG4 accepts the offer of Mr. Rudolf Riess (rudi@w3.org) to serve as a facilitator between the editors and the W3C on the subject of Accessibility Improvements to HTML and other elements that are missing or changed from the W3C HTML 4.0 specification. WG4 requests that the editors of ISO HTML incorporate the instructions, work with Mr. Riess, and return the text for electronic discussion on the official WG4 list. WG4 expects that on completion of electronic discussion, it will authorize the editors to send the text to JTC1 for Final CD ballot.
WG4 accepts N1974 as the proposed text of ISMID. WG4 will put the text out for electronic discussion on the official WG4 list. WG4 expects that on completion of electronic discussion, it will authorize the editors to send the text to JTC1 for registration as a CD and circulation for ballot.
WG4 accepts N1979 as the disposition of comments, N1980 as the editing instructions, and N1985 as the final text for DAM1 to ISO/IEC 10744:1997, HyTime, and forwards it to the JTC1 Secretariat for processing.
WG4 accepts N1988 as the proposed text for a Technical Corrigendum to ISO/IEC 10744:1997, HyTime, and releases it the official WG4 list for discussion. If the text is approved by the electronic discussion, the editor is authorized to send the text to the JTC1 Secretariat for TC processing.
WG4 acceptsN1981 as a proposed text of the Technical Corrigendum 3 to ISO 8879. WG4 will put the text out for electronic discussion on the official WG4 list. WG4 expects that on completion of electronic discussion, it will authorize the editor to send the text to JTC1 for publication. WG4 also accepts N1983 as a statement of the recent changes to ISO 8879 (showing the results of applying TC3). If the electronic discussion modifies N1981, N 1983 will be modified accordingly.
WG4 accepts N1975 as the disposition of comments, N1976 as the editing instructions, and N1986 as the final text for AM2/9541-1, Minor Enhancements to the Architecture to Address Font Technology Advances, and instructs the editor to transmit it to the JTC1 Secretariat for publication by the ITTF.
According to the previously approved Dispostion of Comments (WG8 N1885) and Editng Instructions (WG8 N1886) WG4 instructs the editor to prepare the final text of AM1/9541-1, Typeface Design Grouping, and transmit it to the JTC1 Secretariat for publication by the ITTF. To support this publication, WG4 requests Prof. Archie Provan to provide examples of typefaces to the project editor.
WG4 has accepted N1953 as the revised text of Font Services (prepared according to Recommendation 1 of the Barcelona meeting). As this project had reached CD level, WG4 requests that its Convenor investigate with JTC1 whether publication as a TR might be pursued.
WG4 recognizes that modularization of DTDs is desirable but has concluded that it is best to accomplish it without revising ISO 8879. The SGML RG is instructed to pursue DTD data entities as an initial design approach and to report back to WG4. WG4 also recognizes that N1987 and N1982 are valuable statements of both the requirements for modularization and of useful semantics for a solution, and requests that the group further consider this paper in that contex.
WG4 acepts N1989 as Disposition of Comments and N1990 as new text for PDTR 9573-9. WG4 will put the text out for electronic discussion on the official WG4 list. WG4 expects that on completion of electronic discussion, it will authorize the editors to send the text to JTC1 for ballot.
WG4 approves N1971 as its Programme of Work, Calendar, and Liaisons.
WG4 thanks Jeanne El Andaloussi, François Chahuneau, and AIS Berger-Levrault for hosting the WG4 meeting.
