WG4 accepts N1952 as a New Project Proposal to reinstate the Font Services project. WG4 forwards N1953 as the revised text of Font Services (prepared according to Recommendation 1 of the Barcelona meeting, with N1914 as the Editing Instructions for CD 15413, Font Services) to JTC1 for Final CD or DIS processing (as JTC1 determines is appropriate), on the approval of the NP.
WG4 authorizes the editors of CD13250 to prepare a new text and send it to the JTC1 Secretariat for processing as a Final CD.
WG4 accepts N1947 as a New Project Proposal for Interchange Standard for Modifiable Interactive Documents (ISMID) , N1948 as the Agreed User Requirements for ISMID, and N1949 as the proposed text of the standard. WG4 requests that the text be circulated as a CD if the NP is approved.
WG4 accepts N1957 as the proposed text of an amendment to ISO/IEC 10744:1997, HyTime and forwards it to the JTC1 Secretariat for processing as a (P)DAM.
WG4 accepts N1954 as the Disposition of Comments for the SGML TC ballot and N1955 as the final text of the Technical Corrigendum to ISO 8879. WG4 forwards these documents to the JTC1 Secretariat for publication.
WG4 accepts N1944 as editing instructions for ISO-HTML and instructs the editors to prepare a new text for Final CD ballot.
WG4 approves N1956 as its Programme of Work, Calendar, and Liaisons.
WG4 requests that JTC1 approve a workshop on guidelines for accessing data and metadata represented in SGML from databases, knowledge bases, and search tools, organized by WG4 in conjunction with their meeting in Paris in May 1998 (the workshop is to be held at the location of GCA's conference "SGML/XML Europe"). WG4 approves N1946 as a liaison which it requests JTC1 to send to TC184, the W3C, the IETF, and other interested bodies, outlining the framework for the workshop.
WG4 thanks Norman Scharpf, Marion Elledge, and the GCA for hosting the WG4 meeting.
