Summary of major points: |
The First meeting of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC18/WG8 in 1997 will be held at the Princesa Sofia Intercontinental Hotel in Barcelona, Spain. This meeting will be after the SC18 Plenary in Istanbul (29 April2 May) and before the GCA conference "SGML Europe" (Barcelona: see http://www.gca.org/conf/europe97/index.htm). We do not yet know whether it will be necessary to collect a meeting fee. Hotel and travel information is enclosed. Please make hotel reservations as soon as possible There will be SWGs for SGML and Hypermedia at this meeting. This document also serves as the calling notice for those meetings. Those bringing documents to the meeting should bring 25 copies. |

NOTE: Convenors of RGs should have documents which will be needed for the closing plenary ready for duplication at noon on Thursday and should be ready to indicate to the full working group at that time what items will be presented for decision (recommendations, liaison statements).

A block of rooms is reserved under GCA, and the conference rate of 17,000 Ptas for single room, 19,000 Ptas for double room applies.
